Reporting scams and off-platform payment requests
If a buyer or seller asks you to complete payment outside platform flows, treat it as a safety issue. Off-platform payments reduce support visibility and can remove important protections tied to marketplace workflows.

Refuse the off-platform payment request, keep the conversation evidence, and report the account or listing through the platform. If the situation affects an active order, contact support with the order context.
On-platform payment and messaging create the evidence trail support needs. Moving outside those flows makes fraud resolution much harder.
Include screenshots, usernames, listing links if available, and a short explanation of what was requested. Mention whether any money was already sent.
Useful information
Never share passwords, recovery codes, or bank credentials in chat.
If the same scam attempt is already under review, update that existing ticket.
