Before powering on the device, confirm that the item, declared accessories, and visible package condition match expectations. If something obvious is missing, document it immediately.
For electronics, test charging, display, camera, sound, buttons, connectivity, and any other major function relevant to the device type. Compare what you receive with what the listing promised.
If you notice a mismatch, take photos or video and keep the packaging. Fast, specific documentation is more useful than a general complaint without evidence.
